Preparing your stay…
One of Skopje’s most recognizable landmarks, the Stone Bridge crosses the Vardar River and connects the modern city centre with the historic Old Bazaar. The present bridge dates mainly to the 15th-century Ottoman period and has become an enduring symbol of the city. Walk across for beautiful river views, photographs and an easy transition from Macedonia Square into the atmospheric streets of the Old Bazaar. It is especially beautiful around sunset and in the evening when the city lights reflect on the river.
